It's Time for Stripes Again

I thought it would be time for stripes again. In particular for an almost all black outfit with the Gudrun Sjödén striped shirt, which was designed for it's 35rd anniversary. For a little playful touch I added a necklace by LeChatVIVI and my beloved Balenciaga bag. Et voila ready for another striped look.
Happy Wednesday!

Beauty: Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick by Estée Lauder

This March Estée Lauder launched a new lipstick named Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick. Behind this pretty long name one will find a pretty fabulous lipstick in 20 different colors.
The colors are divided into 4 big color families: nude, pink, red and violett tones. Lucky me I got to test few colors and was able to find a great every day lipstick as I'm not big on too much color during the day. My perfect color is named Dynamic and is part of the violett tones. For me it's a gorgeous almost nude color. In the tube pretty intense (in the photo below the middle one) and on my lips it just like my lips only more defined. The fact that this lipstick is pretty moisturizing due to the time released moisture complex is pretty awesome as well and it doesn't feel too heavy on the lips.
So with this said this lipstick is becoming a quick staple in my make up bag.
Did you have a chance to try the new lipstick? If yes, what do you think about it?
Happy Monday!

Mani Monday: Dior Vernis in Wonderland

Dior Vernis Wonderland
This week on my nails: the new Dior Vernis nail polish. These are being released in April to accompany the Dior Addict Fluid Sticks (which is by the way a great new product).
I went for a very pretty pink color named Wonderland. The application was great as always with a perfect coverage in two coats and a pretty fast drying nail polish. The formula is of the polishes is a bit more of a gel consistency which I find really nice.
For me a great color for spring and summer which I'll be definitely wearing quite a lot as an alternative to my beloved reds.

Happy Monday!

Beauty Monday: Karl Lagerfeld Perfume

Karl Lagerfeld Perfume
So after showing you what I did on my Paris trip I will now show what for I went to Paris.
As you might have read in the last post it was for the launch of the new Karl Lagerfeld perfume. The brand Karl Lagerfeld launched both men and women scents. The packaging is totally true to Karl Lagerfeld style with a funky metal collar.
The version for him is an incredibly sexy scent, of which I when I first got to smell it thought: that is how I want each and single man in the world to smell. I don't know what it is about the mixture of top notes of lavender and mandarine, middle notes of green apple and violet on a base of sandalwood and amber. But as maskuline as this scent is, I also tried it on myself and can see myself wearing this sexy one on a hot summer day as well.
The version for her is a very gentle, feminine and warm scent to my nose. With top notes of citrus and peach, a very floral middle tones of magnolia, rose and frangipani on a base of amber wood and musk. This perfume has been on constant repeat since I got my hands on it.
For me these two creations are like Karl likes to call them fashion for the nose and really worth a try.
From my side a definite must try for these with starting prices at 39 Euro the scent is available at many retailers like Douglas.

Have you already smelled one of those? And if yes what are your thoughts on this perfume?
Have a great Monday evening!

Visting Karl Lagerfeld in Paris

A bit more than a week ago I was offered an amazing opportunity to go on a trip to Paris and celebrate the launch of Karl Lagerfelds new perfume (which is by the way amazing and you will find more about it tomorrow on the blog).
Wow what a trip! We got to see more or less private insights into some of the Karls working places, like his photo studio, his private office at the HQ of the Karl Lagerfeld brand, his book store L7 and got quite close to him at the launch party of the perfume. Where some of us got quite close to King Karl himself.
But now enough of words here are some of my favorite sneak peeks from that trip.
Happy Sunday!

Let's Run

I know I kind of neglected my little baby (blog) in the last few weeks. So sorry for that. I'm just so super busy working. I had planed to talk about this topic for a while and now I think it's just about time for it.
Let's talk about sports today. If there is one sport that I've been practicing for years now then it must be running. I find it so relaxing while I get my workout done. Since I've been 14, I've been running more or less on a regular basis. For me it's the easiest one of workouts to squeeze into a working day and as I'm really not the biggest fan of fitness studios it's a great alternative. You just need a pair of really good shoes and for us girls a good sports-bra and you are ready to go.
As I started working full-time few years ago I was fighting what one could call a lack of motivation. So my sister decided to help me and signed me up for a 10K race this April. Let me tell you that was a motivation boost. Since the beginning of the year I managed to go on 3 runs a week on a very regular basis. I've been improving my time almost on each run and getting closer to my aim of beating my 10K best time of 55 minutes.

My Spring Look with Beautystories

One can definitely feel Spring is just around the corner. The days get warmer and longer. And I'm changing my make up routine just a bit to welcome the new season. I created this look for Beautystories. Never heard of it? German beauty retailer, Douglas, just launched their new blog Beautystories and to celebrate that they asked quite a few bloggers to create their favorite Spring look.
Want to know how mine looks like? Check out Beautystories to read more about my look and also to see what looks the other girls went for.
Have fun reading and a great Wednesday!
