Cranberry Stars

Mandelsterne mit Cranberrys
Nothing is girlier than a pink treat for holiday season. I made these cranberry stars as a part of my package that I did send to Denise. We both took part in "Post aus meiner Küche"(a cookie exchange program :) ) and it was really fun getting a package together for somebody you've never seen before.
But back to the stars... these little pink cookies are just so girly and tasty and were gone in a day after I was done baking. So I'm sure I'm getting my hands on this recipe very soon again.
Happy sweet Friday!

Big and Cozy

... is my new sweater dress from Maison Martin Margiela for H&M and I can't stop wearing it. Even though I actually didn't want to shop too many things from this collection I had to have this sweater and the candy clutch. I think the sweater dress is the perfect piece for upcoming winter...
Happy Wednesday!

Hallhuber Spring/Summer 2013 Press Day

Last week I took the opportunity of getting to see the new Spring/Summer 2013 collection from Hallhuber, a great brand Munich based brand.
The day started with a three course lunch, followed by a quick presentation from Hallhuber team explaining the pieces of the new season. Soft pastel colors, statement collars and great interpretations of the classic tweed jacket are just few of the highlights of the coming season. But also great colors like neon orange and flower prints are part of the new collection. As a little surprise to finish of the day we had a fun cupcake workshop held by wir machen cupcakes
How do you like the new season?

Mani Monday: Caviar

Estée Lauder Caviar
This week I'm going for a darker nail polish again. Few days ago I passed by Estée Lauder counter while buying the first presents and couldn't say no to Caviar. A very unique grey with a subtile golden shimmer, which is not too strong on the nails. The color is amazing and I'm just loving these little "ice cubes" full of great nail polish.
What are you wearing on your nails this week?
Wishing you a great Monday!

Outfit Burgundy Rag&Bone Jeans
Burgundy, Oxblood and all these colors have been around us a lot lately. Well I couldn't keep myself away from these colors as well even if I'm really hesitant when it comes to switching away from my beloved jeans. I started slowly with a burgundy sweater and then had to get these Rag&Bone corduroy pants and now I'm thinking what else I could get from this color family.
What do you think about this fall's colors?
Happy Friday!

Fall Favorites

Even though I'm not loving that it's getting colder and darker outside from day to day there are some aspects of fall that I do enjoy. Things like changing colors of the leaves or that you don't need any excuses to stay home all weekend long and read book or just watch TV. And that you can experiment with layering a bit and totally dig into your sweater addiction. I decided to share few of my favorites lately.
What are the things that you are loving about fall?

Walking on Clouds

Another Sunday Walk shoot...
Well this time I desperately wanted to show you my new favorite shoes. You've seen me craving them and since I've got these Nike trainers I really enjoyed wearing them. Your feet feel so great and comfy that you really think you are walking on clouds.

True Pink

I'm not a beauty blogger at all but I'm totally beauty obsessed and addicted. And when I get a chance to try out a new lipstick or nail polish I'm the happiest girl in town. This time I was lucky to try the new Creamy Matte Lip Color lipstick in True Pink by Bobbi Brown and I'm totally hooked. The texture is really nice and creamy, not drying at all (and I have dry lips) and with a great staying power. And won't be lying if I would say I've been wearing this lovely shade five out of the last seven days. And as all twelve colors are in stores this November I'm for sure getting another one... May be one in red?
Happy Monday!

Friday, November 16, 2012

Found these unpublished photos and decided to show you what most of the days I do wear. Mostly these kind of outfits will be when I'm running late in the morning. So I would always wear sneakers, like these Nike ones or these Jimmy Choo ones, to catch my train. And not to think too much about the rest jeans and sweater are my favorite pairings. And if I have time I'll put on a fun bracelet, like my J.Crew one.
With a little bit of make up, bb cream, mascara, bronzer and a fun lipstick and I'm out of the door.

Do you have these kind of looks which you always can fall back on?

Have a great Friday!

Nußecken or Chocolate Dipped Nut Bars

I love food even more I love sweets. Last week my hubs gave me two cookbooks as a present one of them was a vegan one, it made me really curious. I'm no where near even being vegetarian but I'm always happy to try new things. I will be documenting what we try out of the vegan cookbook over here. For the first recipe I went with something really easy and sweet. Nut bars in chocolate.

White Collar

Remember this Massimo Dutti dress? I love how transformable it is just because you can take the collar off. I found the idea of playing with black and white great so I decided to wear a white collar shirt just under the dress. For the rest of the look I went all black. An outfit I will be wearing quite often this winter.
Happy Tuesday everyone!

Mani Monday: Khaki Vert by Chanel

Khaki Vert was a limited edition color from Chanel during the Fashion's Night Out in 2010. Which I got while my stay in Chicago at that time and I have been wearing it quite a  lot since then may be because the color seems kind of pretty neutral to me. The bottle is one third empty today. With all the military trend right now I thought why not to get this color back on my hands.

What do you think of this color? Any greens you are using this Fall?

Have a great Monday!

Friday's Cravings: J.Crew

Lately I've been really obsessed with J.Crew and the fact that orders are duty free to Germany doesn't make it easier to skip buying. When I had a look on the site tonight I instantly fell in love with this heart sweater. And just because there are so many great things I decided to show you how I would wear this sweater.
What do you think?

Clinique Workshop Day 2

On the second day of the Clinique workshop we met up at a Clinique Counter in Oberpolinger, a big department store here in Munich. In two small groups we could try out the half-face  make up (another great service that Clinique offers free of charge at their counters). This means one of the lovely Clinique ladies does one half of the face and explains what and how she's doing it. And after she's done you do it yourself. I went for a subtile day make up and was really happy with it.
Over all these were two very fun days learning a lot about my skin and skincare.

Huge thanks to Clinique for the invitation and great experience!

While I found few favorites on these two days like the Even Better Eyes. I'm curious to hear what do you think about Clinique.

Happy Friday!

Clinique Workshop Day 1

Almost two weeks ago just before I headed to Berlin I was invited by the lovely Clinique girls to a Clinique workshop. Which took place in Munich and was divided into two days. Before the workshop I knew a bit about the brand and had been using some products in the past. I think my first try on Clinique was when I was 14 and having a bit of a breakouts, so my mom got me the famous 3-step system. If I only knew how to properly use it back then...
So what did we do on the day one? After a quick and very healthy lunch we got an introduction to the brand. I love the idea of Clinique being allergy tested and 100% perfume free, as much as I love the scents of products of brands like Origins I'm just too scared to use too many scented products on my face because my skin is quite sensitive and often reacts to some products.
Next step was getting all the make-up off and analyzing the skin type. My skin is quite dry even in summer and as you've read before quite sensitive so I fit perfectly into the skin type 1. After knowing which skin type we are Helene did put all the needed products to clean and moisturize the skin on daily basis. If you happen to pass a Clinique counter you can always get a skin analysis if you are unsure what skin type you are or if you are new to the brand.
Second part of the day consisted of a little lecture about pigmentation problems and how one can work against them.
And to finish of the day we had a wonderful dinner at one of my favorite places in Munich Oscar Maria.
Curious about what happened on the second day? Stay tuned for part two...

Sunday Walk

This Sunday the weather was really nice and warm so we got dressed and headed out for a walk around downtown. I've had this dress in my wardrobe for few years now but I always keep coming back to it. And partnered with some comfy heels it was a perfect Sunday walk attire.

Have a great day!

Mani Monday: Beautiful Liar

Beautiful Liar Estée Lauder
Starting the week with my nail color of the last two weeks: Beautiful Liar by Estée Lauder is a part of their Perfect Reds Collection (you've seen already Le Smoking here). Beautiful Liar is a bit more on the pink side of red and is a little bit more creamier. But with the same great coverage and did last almost a week on my nails. What do you think about this red?

Happy Monday!

Friday's Cravings: Happy Feet

While in Berlin I saw these Nike trainers on Katrin. She was kind enough to let me try them on and let me tell you something, these were the comfiest shoes I've ever had on my feet! And now on their way to make my feet happy.
I wish you a great Friday!

Origins Workshop Day 2

The second day of the Origins workshop was dedicated to trying out the products. After a big and yummy breakfast we were taken to KaDeWe to the Origins counter to have a closer look at the products. Get few treatment and try out the make-up line (which I actually didn't get to because there was so much to see). Over all I think it was a great experience and I loved getting to know this brand. Origins will definitely be one of the brands which I'll be looking closer at in the future. I fell in love with the Peace of Mind and The Way of the Bath Matcha Tea Body Soak.
Have you been using Origins products? What do you think about the brand?

A huge thanks to Origins for inviting me!
